So refreshing

With my kids’ noses (& mine) stuck in our phones all day long, it’s refreshing to have a common goal we can achieve together! But it’s not just a regular puzzle. There’s always fun within the fun! Unexpected extra fun! Keep up the creativity!

It’s okay

Originally got Snack Attack (part 3) in their Kickstarter and got all 8 of their puzzles along with some extra things. All their puzzles are essentially the same with different prints on the front, the best being Glitch followed by Beyond the Kelp (in my opinion).

Snack Attack 3 had 2 pieces missing. I do a lot of puzzles and can typically do 1000 pieces in like 4-6 hours. These aren’t challenging puzzles. I did the puzzle in one sitting, at the same table where there was no way I could have misplaced or lost anything (hardwood floors and it’s literally just me). I saw on their Kickstarter that you can contact them because they have “ninjas” who find the pieces you’re missing and will mail them to you.

They tried to convince me to just buy a new puzzle because the pieces they find aren’t going to be a perfect fit/match (so why offer to send the pieces in the first place). They offered me some percentage off to get a new puzzle, and I said that I had all their puzzles already and didn’t want to buy a new one for something wrong that isn’t my fault. I asked if I could send them the puzzle that was faulty and if I could get a refund or a replacement but they said no, but that they’d send me the two pieces.

They said they mailed me the two new pieces and I never got them. I contacted them and they told me to wait. They eventually reached out asking if I ever got them and when I told them no, they finally sent me a new puzzle.

The original Kickstarters were supposed to ship early summer. They weren’t delivered till late August and I know that’s not their fault. I get that. I contacted them about the missing pieces early September. There was a lot of back and forth and I honestly wasn’t heard. Was given a lot of “solutions” that didn’t address my problem. With all the back and forth I didn’t get the replacement puzzle till late November, which made me lose so much interest and enjoyment in the overall puzzle experience.

I get they’re a small business and I love the idea of supporting small businesses and artists. This was just executed poorly for me. I know a lot of people enjoyed their experience, but I didn’t and I will forever warn people about OddPieces. Your time and money is better spent elsewhere. Magic Puzzle Company makes much more fun and unique puzzles in my opinion and their customer service was very helpful and quick to respond to me and address my concerns.

Such a fun idea for a puzzle. Can’t wait to make it!
